British authorities have determined that there was no criminal act following allegations by a supposed fan of Lewis Hamilton, who accused Mercedes of undermining the driver prior to his anticipated 2025 switch to Ferrari.

An unsigned email, allegedly from a discontented team member, was circulated to all Formula 1 authorities, bosses and the press, levying these charges.

In response, Team Principal Toto Wolff, visibly angered in Barcelona, declared his intent to aggressively pursue the originator of the email, firmly stating that it was not from a team employee.

"When we are getting these kind of emails, and we're getting tons of them, it is upsetting, particularly when somebody is talking about death and all these things," he remarked.

Wolff enlisted the aid of Northamptonshire Police; however, they concluded this week that "No criminal offences were found to have been committed." The police did, nonetheless, offer guidance on handling future such communications.

A representative for the Mercedes team noted that the issue is currently "dealt with externally," which includes the engagement of a private investigation agency.
