Nico Hulkenberg will leave Force India at the end of the Formula 1 season to join Sauber.
The German driver will replace Sergio Perez, who has been chosen as Lewis Hamilton's replacement at McLaren.
Hulkenberg has partnered Paul di Resta at Force India this season, where he has generally outperformed his British partner.
The 25-year-old has recorded finishes of fourth place in the Belgium Grand Prix and fifth place in the European Grand Prix, which has been complemented with points finishes in the past three races.
Hulkenberg is currently in 11th place in the drivers' standings.
