Graeme McDowell: 'I'm in right place to challenge for more Majors'

Graeme McDowell is confident that he is in the right shape to challenge for more success at Major tournaments.

Graeme McDowell has claimed that he is in the best position to challenge for more Majors ahead of this week's Open Championship.

The Northern Irishman earned his only victory in one of the four Major tournaments at the 2010 US Open, and he is confident of producing similar form once again as he prepares to compete at Hoylake.

"I'd give my left arm for the Claret Jug. I would, actually. That would be the end of my career, but it would be a nice way to go," McDowell joked to reporters.

"I feel like I'm ready to kick on to the next chapter in my career now, and compete and win more Major championships.

"I certainly don't want to be a one-hit wonder, and I've learned a lot over the last few years since my US Open victory."

McDowell will play alongside Matt Kuchar and Louis Oosthuizen on Thursday.
