At The Turn: Jamie Donaldson, Lee Westwood fight back to lead Jim Furyk, Matt Kuchar

Ryder Cup debutant Jamie Donaldson and old head Lee Westwood have a one-hole lead at the halfway stage of their foursome match against Jim Furyk and Matt Kuchar.

New pairing Jamie Donaldson and Lee Westwood fought back after a slow start to secure a one-hole lead over Jim Furyk and Matt Kuchar as all four men made their bows at the 40th Ryder Cup after sitting out the morning fourball session.

After starting with pars on the first, both pairs made birdie fours at the par-five second. Furyk and Kuchar then went 1 up on the third as the European duo bogeyed the par-four.

Holes four and five were then halved before Westwood curled home a right-to-left birdie putt that levelled the match after Kuchar's chip-in had lipped out.

On the seventh Europe went in front as Kuchar missed a short downhill putt and Donaldson converted from a similar distance.

The eighth and ninth were halved and so at the turn, Europe leads by one. Join us on Sports Mole for live text coverage on the rest of the session by clicking here.
