Ian Poulter happy with form ahead of The Masters

Ian Poulter claims that he is happy with his game as he looks to win The Masters at the 11th attempt.

Ian Poulter has insisted that his game is in good enough shape to give him a chance of triumphing at The Masters this week.

Despite showing glimpses of his best form this season, Poulter has not yet won a tournament in 2015, but he is confident of peaking when it matters ahead of Thursday's first round at Augusta National.

"I feel good about my game," the 39-year-old told reporters. "That's something that's been in shape since the start of the year.

"I've hit lots of greens in regulation and I've had lots of chances. I haven't quite taken all of them as yet, let's hope that I've kind of stored them up for this week.

"I'm working on all the right things to continue to rectify those few little issues that have held me away from holding a trophy since the start of this year. If I don't make silly mistakes and if my wedge control is good and I hole a few putts, then hopefully I'll be there."

Poulter will play alongside Keegan Bradley and Patrick Reed in the first two rounds.
