Tiger Woods could be disqualified from the Masters after potentially dropping his ball in the wrong place.
The world number one saw his approach to the 15th green hit the flag and go into the water, meaning that Woods was required to drop the ball as near to his original shot as possible.
However, television replays shown the 37-year-old to have dropped the ball two yards behind where the previous shot was played from, something which the American alluded to in an interview after the completion of his round.
The four-time Masters winner told Sky Sports News: "I looked over the drop area, it wasn't very good.
"I went back to where I was, and took two yards further back, and I tried to take two yards off what I hit it before."
If he is adjudged to have dropped the ball in the wrong place, Woods would incur a two-shot penalty, which would result in the wrong score being recorded on his scorecard.
