Luke Donald could become the first British player to win the PGA Player of the Year award after he was named on the shortlist.
The 33-year-old has been nominated alongside the American quartet of Keegan Bradley, Bill Haas, Webb Simpson and Nick Watney.
The winner of the award is decided by Tour professionals and the verdict expected to be reached later this month.
News of Donald's nomination has come just two days after the death of his father, Colin.
Donald has already won the PGA Player of the Year award for 2011.
