Peter Hanson will take a one-shot advantage over Rory McIlroy into the final round of the BMW Masters in Shanghai.
The Swede produced a third-round score of 70 to remain at the top of the leaderboard but McIlroy's round of 69 ensured that he reduced Hanson's overnight lead to one shot.
South Africa's George Coetzee is three shots adrift of Hanson after he recorded a six-under-par round of 66.
Luke Donald and Justin Rose remained in contention in tied-fourth as they formed part of a six-strong group of players on 11-under-par.
