Dustin Johnson has opened up a five-shot advantage at the halfway stage of the WGC-HSBC Champions tournament in Shanghai.
The world number 23 recorded a second-round 63 to move to 12-under-par, which moved him clear of opening-day leader Rory McIlroy, who could only record a level-par round on Friday.
Bubba Watson and Boo Weekley join McIlroy in second place, with a group of players, including Sergio Garcia and Graeme McDowell, remaining in contention on six-under-par.
Defending champion Ian Poulter also sits on six-under after an impressive round of 67.
