Patrick Reed two shots clear at WGC-Cadillac Championship

Patrick Reed is two shots clear at the top of the leaderboard after the third round of action at the WGC-Cadillac Championship.

Patrick Reed will take a two-shot lead into the fourth and final round of the WGC-Cadillac Championship on Sunday.

The 23-year-old American finished on four under on Saturday after an eagle in his 69.

The world number 44 accomplished a 25-foot putt to eagle the eighth and drove pin high at the par four 16th to pick up his third birdie of the penultimate round of the tournament.

Fellow Americans Dustin Johnson and Hunter Mahan, two of four players sharing the lead at the end of the second round on Friday, are tied for second place.

World number one and defending champion Tiger Woods carded eight birdies in a 66 to move within three shots of leader Reed.

The American is tied for fourth spot on one under with Jamie Donaldson of Wales, while Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy is seven shots adrift after a 75.
