Tiger Woods has spoken highly of Rory McIlroy heading into this month's Ryder Cup at East Lake.
World number one McIlroy has been in good form of late, winning three of the last four tournaments that he has entered.
Looking ahead to America's battle with Europe, Woods admitted that his nation will have their work cut out against the Irish youngster.
"He's doing the things he needs to do," said Woods. "Right now he's just really playing well and he's making a ton of putts. That's a great combo.
"He's a great player, he's playing great and he's going to be tough at East Lake. But we'll see - we've got 11 days or so to prepare."
Woods is currently second in the world rankings.
