Bogey-free Gregory Bourdy leads by two in Lyoness Open

Gregory Bourdy cards a bogey-free round of 65 to take a two-shot lead after the first round of the Lyoness Open in Austria.

France's Gregory Bourdy shot a seven-under-par round of 65 to take a two-shot lead after the first round of the Lyoness Open in Austria.

The 33-year-old missed just one green at the Diamond Country Club in Atzenbrugg to finish clear of a four-man group on five-under.

"I am pleased with seven-under, of course, but it actually could have been even more," Bourdy claimed after finishing his round.

The quartet of Robert Dinwiddie, Chris Wood, Carlos del Moral and Max Kieffer sit behind Bourdy in joint-second.

Home favourite Bernd Wiesberger, runner-up last year and one of the favourites for the title this year, is 14 shots behind Bourdy after a "catastrophic" seven-over 79.
