Joost Luiten has carded a first-round 65 to take the outright lead on day one of the ISPS Handa Wales Open at Celtic Manor.
The Dutchman sank seven birdies en route to the summit on six-under-par, with a bogey at the 17th the only blemish on his card.
Luiten sits one stroke ahead of Scotland's Andrew McArthur and Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts - the latter of whom recorded an eagle at the last to finish up on 66.
English duo Robert Rock and Sam Walker ended Thursday in a three-way tie for third with South African Justin Walters on four-under.
Meanwhile, no fewer than 10 players head into Friday on three-under, with Ireland's Shane Lowry among them.
