Beth Tweddle inducted into British Gymnastics Hall of Fame

Beth Tweddle is inducted into the British Gymnastics Hall of Fame following her success in the sport.

Three-time Olympian Beth Tweddle has been inducted into the British Gymnastics Hall of Fame.

The 29-year-old, who retired from the sport a year after clinching Olympic bronze at London 2012, has been honoured following a successful career.

Tweddle, who is widely considered as the most successful British gymnast of all time, has won three World Championship titles and six European crowns.

"It's a huge honour to be the first gymnast to be entered into the British Gymnastics Hall of Fame," said Tweddle. "Gymnastics has given me so much in life, not only the successes in competitions but also so many opportunities and amazing experiences.

"It has taught me that hard work and dedication is so important to reaching your goals but also gymnastics has been brilliant fun to be involved in and I have made so many great friends along the way."

Tweddle became an ambassador for the sport following her retirement.
