English rider Bradley Smith has admitted that he doesn't want the MotoGP season to end following a late surge in the championship.
The 23-year-old finished fifth in the race at Sepang in Malaysia at the weekend, which has boosted his chances of finishing sixth in the riders' championship.
"It's fantastic for me and I closed a little bit to sixth in the championship and moved into seventh in the championship," Crash.net quotes Smith as saying. "Tech3 is now ahead of Ducati in the team championships so there's lots of positives for us.
"We really turned around our season and if wasn't for the unfortunate luck at Brno and Silverstone we've had a really good second half to the season. The team have done an amazing job and I don't really want the season to end now!"
Meanwhile, Marc Marquez has equalled Mick Doohan's record by winning his 12th race at the weekend.
