Team England's Stacey Francis targeting 'better than bronze' at Commonwealths

Team England netball star Stacey Francis believes that her side can improve on their bronze-medal performance at the 2010 Commonwealth Games this time around in Glasgow.

Women's netball star Stacey Francis believes that Team England can improve on their Delhi 2010 bronze-medal performance at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

England advanced through Pool B in second place in Delhi, before losing against Australia in the semi-finals.

A 70-47 triumph over Jamaica ensured that the British nation had something to cheer about, although Francis is looking to better that achievement this time around in Scotland.

"Bronze medals are fantastic but I definitely think we can do better than that this time," the Bath Chronicle quotes her as saying.

"Fans can expect good things, this is the definitely the best team we've had. I know people always say that but we have been trying to do things a bit differently in recent years and we expect to get a different result."

England face Wales in their opening game on Friday.
