David Beckham and his wife Victoria have amassed a fortune larger than the Queen's, according to analysts at the London School of Marketing.
The former England football captain, who retired from football in 2013 following spells at Manchester United, Real Madrid, Los Angeles Galaxy and Paris Saint-Germain, is globally recognised as much for his activity away from the football pitch as he is on it.
Experts have revealed that the couple, who are parents to Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, have created a brand worth half a billion pounds, which is more than the Queen, who has a fortune of £340m, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.
It has been estimated that the famous family generate between £30m to £40m per year thanks to their three main corporate ventures Footworks - which is worth £150m - the Beckham name - valued at £70m - and various ventures which rack up to £60m, according to the Daily Mail.
The total value calculated also incorporates non-business assets of around £190m.
