England fly-half Danny Cipriani hit with drink-driving charge

Scotland Yard confirms that England and Sale Sharks fly-half Danny Cipriani has been charged with drink-driving over a West London collision in June.

The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that England fly-half Danny Cipriani has been charged with drink-driving.

The charge relates to a collision between Cipriani's Mercedes and a Toyota in Chelsea, West London shortly after 5am on June 1 this year.

Cipriani, 28, who plays his club rugby for Sale Sharks, was not hurt in the incident.

He will appear at West London Magistrates' Court next month on December 10.
