Ipswich Town striker Michael Chopra has been hit with a 10-year ban from any involvement in racing by the British Horseracing Authority.
The 29-year-old, who has been open about his previous issues with gambling, was handed the lengthy ban for being guilty of fixing races following an investigation.
Fellow professional Mark Wilson has also been issued with a 10-year ban, while Doncaster Rovers midfielder James Coppinger was handed a three-year sanction.
Meanwhile, former flat jockey Andrew Heffernan has been disqualified for 15 years for breaching the BHA guidelines.
