British actor Tom Hopper has been mistaken for the Leicester City footballer who was involved in a video showing him and two of his teammates racially abusing Thai women during an orgy.
Foxes player Hopper, along with goalkeeper Adam Smith and James Pearson - son of Leicester manager Nigel - filmed three women performing sex acts on them during the team's post-season tour of Thailand.
During the footage, one of the women was described as a "slit eye", while another was told that she was "fucking minging - an absolute one out of 10."
As some fans vented their fury on social media, actor Hopper, who appeared in the BBC TV show Merlin, was forced to endure some abuse as fellow Twitter users mistook the innocent man for the disgraced footballer.
In response to the tweets, Hopper wrote: "To the people who keep thinking I am the Tom Hopper who plays for LCFC & is in the 'Thai' video that has come out:I haven't been to Thailand."
The footballers involved apologised for their actions via a club statement on Sunday.
