France manager Didier Deschamps is reportedly taking legal action against Samir Nasri's girlfriend Anara Atanes after she criticised the coach on Twitter.
The Brighton-born model expressed her anger on the social networking website after her Manchester City boyfriend was left out of Deschamps's 23-man World Cup squad.
After the squad was announced, Atanes tweeted: "Fuck france and fuck deschamps! What a shit manager! Incase u didnt read my tweet properly.... Ill repeat myself..... fuck FRANCE!!!!! And fuck deschamps!
"Lets just get this straight! Im not mad i get my bf for 2 months.... I just think theres a level of respect to be had! He will never play for france again! Watch!"
Deschamps has now decided to take the matter to a Paris court and has received the backing of the French Football Federation, who released a statement saying: "The FFF condemns insulting remarks against Didier Deschamps and fully supports the coach in his approach.
"The unanimous feedback confirmed that the whole of France condemned such remarks. The FFF believes that the unanimous indignation is enough to condemn such behaviour."
Deschamps's lawyer told Le Parisien: "The words are insulting and unacceptable and they attack the dignity of the person and function of coach."
Nasri's girlfriend later apologised for causing any offence to French natives in her expletive-strewn rant.
