Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger reportedly intends to sue a Chinese company for creating a Nazi doll that shares his name and has a very strong likeness to the footballer.
Toy company DiD has produced a range of 'Bastian' dolls, which come in an army uniform with the 'Wehrmachtsadler' symbol, an eagle with a swastika above the right breast pocket.
Patrick Chan, an employee for DiD defended the design by telling Bild: "We thought that all Germans look like that. We don't sell any figures which resemble footballers. It is a complete coincidence that the figure 'Bastian' looks like Schweinsteiger."
Lawyer Ulrich Amelung told the German newspaper: "This is a clear violation of Schweinsteiger's personality rights. Everyone has rights to their own image. To see him as a swastika-bearing Wehrmacht soldier also constitutes a gross defamation and insult."
Schweinsteiger joined United from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.
