Two of Pavel Srnicek's ex-teammates were in attendance as the former Newcastle United goalkeeper was laid to rest in his hometown of Ostrava in the Czech Republic this afternoon.
The 47-year-old's death was confirmed last Wednesday following a 10-day period in which he was placed in an induced coma after collapsing with a cardiac arrest while out running.
Among the mourners were Steve Harper and Steve Howey, both of whom played with Srnicek during his seven-year stint on Tyneside.
