Eniola Aluko becomes first female pundit on BBC's 'Match of the Day'

England women's forward Eniola Aluko makes history by becoming the first female pundit on football highlights BBC show Match of the Day.

England women's forward Eniola Aluko became the first female pundit to feature on the BBC's Match of the Day show at the weekend.

The sportswoman, who plays for Chelsea ladies, was joined by fellow panelists Kevin Kilbane and John Motson on Match of the Day 2 Extra, which was hosted by Mark Chapman.

After her appearance, Aluko tweeted: "Thanks for all your comments :) Im honoured to be the 1st ever female football pundit on @BBCMOTD Theres a 1st for everything :)"

Aluko has scored 26 goals in 83 appearances for England.
