Barry Cowan beats Judy Murray's coaching world record

Former British tennis player Barry Cowan sets a new world record for holding the largest ever tennis coaching session, beating Fed Cup captain Judy Murray's record.

Former British tennis player Barry Cowan has broken a world record set by Fed Cup captain Judy Murray for holding the largest ever tennis coaching session.

The 39-year-old, who now works as a television commentator, held a session with 680 children in Liverpool last month.

Guinness has now ratified the record, which surpasses Murray's total of 406 set in New York earlier this year.

The children were invited from local schools to take part in the session at the Hope International tournament.
