Convicted rapist Ched Evans is reportedly desperate to have his name cleared before his baby is born in January.
The 26-year-old served half of a five-year sentence for raping a 19-year-old woman in a hotel room in 2012, but he has maintained innocence throughout.
The former Sheffield United striker, who admitted to having sex with the woman but insisted that it was consensual, took his case to the Criminal Cases Review Commission following his release in October last year.
According to the Daily Star, Evans is hoping that he will get the outcome that he desires before his child's birth in order to avoid "very difficult conversations" in the future.
The out-of-work footballer is engaged to Natasha Massey, who stood by him after the conviction.
