Judo Olympic silver medallist Gemma Gibbins says that she hopes she doesn't get into trouble for posting a photo of the toilets in Buckingham Palace.

Olympic silver medallist Gemma Gibbons has claimed that she is hoping to stay out of trouble after tweeting a photo of a toilet in Buckingham Palace.

Gibbons attended a reception hosted by the Queen this week and the judo Olympian shared a photo of the restroom with 29,000 followers, despite rules stating that no phones are allowed.

The 25-year-old accompanied the photo with a message saying: "Met the queen today, she has very posh toilets! #howtheroyalspee"

She later told the Daily Mail: "I was delighted to have received an invitation to the palace and even managed to exchange a few words with the Queen.

"I couldn't believe what [the toilets] were like when I saw them. There was carpet in them for a start. I have never seen anything so posh. I just took one look at them and thought 'oh, what the hell' and took a picture.

"I tweeted it without thinking, really, and I really hope that I'm not in trouble. It was such a lovely event that I wouldn't want to end up in the Tower."

Meanwhile, Team GB rower Alex Partridge and hockey player Hannah Macleod are believed to have had their medals stolen following the event.
