Ronnie O'Sullivan and son "absolutely fine" after car crash

Ronnie O'Sullivan says that he and his six-year-old son are "absolutely fine" following a motorway car crash.

Snooker legend Ronnie O'Sullivan and his six-year-old son are "absolutely fine" after being involved in a motorway crash.

The pair escaped serious injuries after Sullivan's Audi R8 car spun out of control on the M1 and crashed in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

O'Sullivan and Ronnie Jr were travelling after the snooker ace lost 18-14 to Mark Selby in the World Championship final.

"Me and my son are absolutely fine," The Mirror quotes O'Sullivan as saying. "And we are grateful for everyone wishing us well. We are now at home just chilling."

The vehicle was taken away by a recovery truck because it had suffered too much damage to be driven.
