An unnamed Premier League star has been accused of drugging and raping a model at the end of a night out in London.
The footballer in question, who is described as a "top international player" and "World Cup star", is alleged to have attacked the French female at her apartment after meeting on a night out.
According to the Daily Star, the player and his non-league footballer friend are being questioned by police over the incident.
After heading back to the rented flat, it is claimed that the woman felt unwell and went to bed alone, before waking in the middle of the night to find the top-flight player having sex with her.
A friend is quoted by the publication as saying: "She knew that something wasn't right because she can normally drink a lot more than that.
"She felt really sick and dizzy and was vomiting all the way back to the apartment. When she got there she spent half an hour in the bathroom and just about had the energy to get into bed.
"She had been flirting with the Premier League player in the club, but he witnessed the state she was in. It never crossed her mind he would do what he did."
The woman is believed to have been interviewed by police in Paris on her return to the country.
