Third footballer appears in court charged with 'match-fixing'

A third footballer has appeared in court accused of being involved in an alleged match-fixing scandal with an international betting syndicate.

Former Conference South player Moses Swaibu was charged last week by the National Crime Agency of conspiracy to defraud.

The 24-year-old, who made an appearance before magistrates in Birmingham today, has been granted unconditional bail, according to ITV Sport.

Swaibu is the fifth person to have been charged in relation to the match-fixing case.
