Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins has agreed to be the water boy for the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens tournament.
The British cyclist, who clinched an Olympic gold medal at London 2012, will take on the new role for the veterans' competition, which is being carried out to raise awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Former Wigan Warriors player Andy Johnson set up charity Joiningjack after his son was diagnosed with the condition, which is incurable.
"After everything [Wiggins has] done, he's the man of the moment and it's an enormous boost for us, just as it is with those who are putting the boots on and playing," the Daily Record quotes Johnson as saying.
Wiggins will join up with the team from November 29.
