World number one golfer Rory McIlroy leads the 10 nominees for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.
The 25-year-old was confirmed as one of the 10 athletes up for the award after a hugely successful year which saw him win two of golf's four Majors and help Europe to victory in the Ryder Cup.
McIlroy is the odds-on favourite to win the annual award, which this year will be presented in Glasgow on December 14.
Second-favourite is Mercedes's Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, who yesterday sealed his second F1 championship with victory at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Four of the 10 nominees are women, with dressage rider Charlotte Dujardin, skier Kelly Gallagher and guide Charlotte Evans, long-distance runner Jo Pavey and skeleton racer Lizzy Yarnold all recognised for their efforts this year.
The remaining men are Real Madrid and Wales footballer Gareth Bale, boxer Carl Froch, swimmer Adam Peaty and gymnast Max Whitlock.
Andy Murray won the award last year following his first Wimbledon victory 18 months ago.
