Hellas Verona's team bus was allegedly attacked in the wake of the team's 3-0 defeat at Roma.
Italian football journalist Paolo Bandini revealed details of the incident on Twitter, claiming that the team were forced to remain in Rome because the vehicle was so damaged.
"Hellas Verona's team bus was attacked as it left Stadio Olimpico. Apparently so badly smashed up team has had to stay in Rome," he wrote.
The full circumstances surrounding the attack remain unclear.
During the game, Fabrizio Cacciatore scored an own goal and Miralem Pjanic and debutant Adam Ljajic found the net as Roma maintained their 100% start to the season.
