Sunderland player Alfred N'Diaye has his Bentley towed due to reported insurance problems.

Sunderland player Alfred N'Diaye had his Bentley towed by police over reported insurance issues.

The 23-year-old, who moved to the Stadium of Light in January, is believed to have been pulled over in his £180,000 Bentley Continental near to the Hilton Hotel in Gateshead on Monday evening.

"He got out of the car and the cop was giving him a bit of paper and they just walked away from the car," a witness told The Chronicle. "I went up to him and said 'are they taking your car' and he said 'yes'. I asked what the problem was and he said it was something to do with insurance."

Reports have claimed that the insurance issue has now been resolved.
