Sunderland have announced that their players will wear shirts with a poppy emblem sewn in for their Premier League match against Everton this weekend.

The North East club will pay their respects to Remembrance Day as well as raise money for the Royal British Legion.

Commercial director Gary Hutchinson told the club's official website: "It's hugely important that we not only pay our respects as part of the wider Remembrance Commemorations, but that we help to raise as much money as possible for the Royal British Legion, who do such a wonderful job in helping our service personnel."

After the match, the shirts will be signed by the players and then sold on auction website eBay.
