Uganda long-distance runner Moses Kipsiro has revealed that he has received death threats after accusing former national coach Peter Wemali of sexually abusing female athletes.
Kipsiro, who is a training partner of Mo Farah, has also accused Wemali, who works for the police force, of murdering another athlete.
However, the UAA has insisted that following two separate investigations, no evidence was found to support the allegations and Wemali no longer works as a coach.
"I am fearing for my life and my family," Kipsiro told Athletics Weekly. "Yesterday one of my brothers (Ayeko Simon) was arrested over an incident.
"I am trying to see if the authorities can help me, but if not, I will look for another solution - maybe moving out of Uganda."
Kipsiro successfully defended his 10,000m title at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow last summer.
