United States Women striker Alex Morgan has announced she is pregnant with her first child.
Morgan, 30, finished the 2019 Women's World Cup as joint top goalscorer alongside USA co-captain Megan Rapinoe and England's Ellen White as the Stars and Stripes successfully defended their title in France.
Morgan is due to give birth in April 2020, three months before USA are set to compete at the Olympics in Tokyo.
She posted a photo on Instagram alongside husband Servando Carrasco, who plays for the LA Galaxy, with the caption: "We are already in love and we haven't even met her yet. Newest member of the Carrasco family, coming soon."
The Orlando Pride striker has not confirmed whether she will be in contention to return in time for the 2020 Olympics.
Morgan has scored 107 goals in 169 appearances for the United States and was among the finalist in this year's The Best FIFA Women's Player awards.
