Formula 1 chief Bernie Ecclestone has said that he agrees with Vladimir Putin's comments on gay rights at the Winter Olympics.
There has been controversy surrounding the Sochi Games due to comments made by the Russian President in the build-up.
However, Ecclestone believes that Putin has been misinterpreted and claims that most people would agree with what the Russian president said.
"[Putin] hasn't said he doesn't agree [with homosexuality]," Ecclestone told CNN. "Just that he doesn't want these things publicised to an audience under the age of 18.
"I completely agree with those sentiments and if you took a world census you'd find 90% of the world agrees with it as well."
Ecclestone was speaking following his High Court win against a German media company in which he was cleared of undervaluing F1 shares in order to make a personal profit.
