FIFA president Sepp Blatter has called for improved conditions for migrant workers in Qatar ahead of the 2022 World Cup.
Amnesty International recently claimed that workers are being "ruthlessly exploited" in the country as they build the infrastructure for the tournament.
Blatter has now acknowledged that a change needs to take place after meeting with International Trade Union Confederation president Michael Sommer.
"Contrary to many reports, the unacceptable situation in Qatar regarding working conditions is of big concern to FIFA, and myself," he tweeted.
"I'm convinced Qatar are taking the situation seriously and that change will come."
FIFA recently confirmed that the 2022 World Cup would be staying in Qatar amid calls for the tournament to be moved.
