Danny Tickle kicked three goals to help Hull FC overcome the challenge of Wakefield Wildcats this afternoon.

Hull's Kirk Yeaman went over for the only try of the opening half in the 18th minute, with Tickle sending the resultant kick between the posts.

Tickle added another goal in the 28th minute to send his side into the break with a healthy advantage.

Will Sharp added another try for the home side just after the hour mark, resulting in Tickle adding his third goal of the afternoon.

Ben Cockayne and Kyle Wood added late tries for the visiting Wildcats, but their efforts, along with a goal from Isaac John, proved to be little more than a consolation.
