Stuart Lancaster: 'No plans to change England tactics'

Stuart Lancaster insists that Brian Ashton's presence at England's training camp is not a sign that the team will be changing their attacking approach.

England head coach Stuart Lancaster has insisted that he has no intention of changing his tactics after inviting Brian Ashton to work alongside him this week.

The former England, Ireland and Bath coach has been present at the team's base in Surrey this week, but Lancaster insists that the invitation was not a move to help the team change their attacking approach.

"I don't want to create something that's not there. It's for me to sit down and chat. Different ideas, different perspective," Lancaster told reporters. "He's developed a lot of players, but actually he's developed a lot of coaches. He's somebody I've always stayed in contact with.

"He's a very creative attacking coach [but] we're not going to change anything we're not already doing.

"I think the way in which we try and play the game will remain the same."

England are currently preparing for the November 8 meeting with New Zealand at Twickenham.
