Stuart Lancaster will reportedly leave Chris Ashton out of his Rugby World Cup squad at the expense of Semesa Rokoduguni.
Bath Rugby winger Rokoduguni was not a part of England's initial plans at the start of the summer, but he is expected to retain his place in the bloated side.
Boss Lancaster will wield the axe once more on Friday afternoon as he continues to cut down his squad, with the showpiece competition now just a little over a month away.
According to The Telegraph, Matt Mullan, George Kruis, Matt Kvesic, Nick Easter, Lee Dickson, Kyle Eastmond and Marland Yarde will also be among the casualties.
The same report suggests that Billy Twelvetrees and the uncapped Sam Burgess, Henry Slade, Jamie George and Luke Cowan-Dickie will each make the cut for the revised 38-man squad.
