Stuart Lancaster believes that England deserved to lose their Rugby World Cup warm-up match against France.
England lost 25-20 to their rivals in Paris, with Danny Cipriani and Jonathan Joseph tries in the last 10 minutes sparing England from a heavy defeat.
"France deserved to win and played very well in the first half. We didn't play well in the first half and gave ourselves too much to do," Lancaster told reporters.
"Our decision-making at the breakdown was poor. We didn't get enough set-piece ball to build any possession.
"When we did retain possession and build phases, we scored some good tries, but the first 60 minutes weren't good enough."
England start their World Cup campaign against Fiji on September 18, before meeting Wales, Australia and Uruguay.
