England coach Andy Farrell insists his team could not be better prepared for this afternoon's Six Nations clash with Ireland.

England coach Andy Farrell is adamant that his side are fully prepared to overcome a stern Irish test in Dublin this afternoon.

Ireland famously denied England a Grand Slam title in 2011 but Farrell believes that Stuart Lancaster's men are acutely aware of the level of performance required to win at the Aviva Stadium.

He told reporters: "We'll get it right this time. We are always in the mindset of preparation before performance. We felt before the Scotland game that we had two really good weeks.

"This week has been just as good, if not better. We feel we are really prepared. The boys have trained hard, they had a really hard beginning to the week. We have had good spikes of intensity.

"In 2011 [before the Ireland match] they laid off the players. On reflection they got it wrong, it was too low key. This is only our second game. Preparation has been intense and we feel that is appropriate."

England started their Six Nations campaign in fine form last weekend with a convincing 38-18 win over Scotland at Twickenham.
