England fly-half Owen Farrell is ruled out for a week with a thigh injury.

England fly-half Owen Farrell has been ruled out for a week with the thigh injury he suffered in Saturday's win over France in the Six Nations.

As a result, the 21-year-old will not train for the remainder of the week, but is expected to return for their clash against Italy on March 10.

"Owen is still recovering from his tight quad muscle and probably won't train this week, but we are fortunate to have Toby Flood who came on and did well against France," England head coach Stuart Lancaster told reporters at a press conference.

England currently top the Six Nations table.
