Chris Robshaw says that England need to improve ahead of their Six Nations showdown with Wales next weekend.

England captain Chris Robshaw has conceded that his side were unimpressive during their win over Italy at Twickenham on Sunday.

Despite going into the match as red-hot favourites, the Red Rose failed to register a try and came under immense pressure in the second half as they held on to clinch a 18-11 win.

However, Robshaw is keen to focus on the positives after maintaining their unbeaten run in the Six Nations.

Asked if it was disappointing not to have won by a more comfortable margin, Robshaw said: "Of course it was, but it was important to get a win. We were under no illusion about how hard it would be, especially after how hard it was in Rome last year (a 19-15 win for England).

"We weren't great today but it's a win at the end of the day. There were moments when we played very well and the attack was flowing but the final bit of execution let us down.

"There's a lot of work to do going into Wales next week."

England travel to Cardiff to face Wales in the title showdown on Saturday.
