Chris Robshaw looks ahead to Six Nations

Chris Robshaw says that England are close to their best following yesterday's defeat to New Zealand.

England captain Chris Robshaw has turned his attention towards the Six Nations following yesterday's 30-22 defeat to New Zealand at Twickenham.

The 27-year-old believes that the Red Rose were close to their best against the All Blacks, but admits that they must be more clinical if they are to avenge last year's 30-3 defeat to Wales.

"We've now finished second in the Six Nations for the last two years and the only way for us to improve is to win it," Sky Sports News quotes the Harlequins flanker as saying.

"We had a pretty good campaign last season but unfortunately fell short at the final hurdle. The good teams don't fall short, they take their opportunities.

"We're pretty close to where we want to be, but we're not quite there. If we'd beaten New Zealand we'd have been pretty happy, but we're at that level where you can perform well and get close, but it's about winning."

England will travel to France for their opening Six Nations match in February.
