James Short makes Exeter Chiefs switch

Exeter Chiefs sign winger James Short from London Irish on a one-year contract.

Exeter Chiefs have confirmed the signing of winger James Short from London Irish.

The 25-year-old has penned a one-year deal at Sandy Park.

"I'm excited about the move," he told Exeter's official website. "It's a new challenge for me, but one that I am very much looking forward to.

"The Chiefs have made some great signings this summer to what was already a very strong squad. I hope I can add my bit to it all.

"First and foremost, I just want to get down there, work hard during pre-season and show what I can bring to the team. I've not really set myself any goals as such, but I know what I can do and hopefully I can show that to the coaches."

Short, who has made over 70 top-flight appearances, has previously played for Saracens and Wasps.
