Northampton have suffered their first defeat in five games with a 30-25 loss at Welford Road this afternoon.
Saints fly-half Ryan Lamb kicked a penalty to go ahead inside the first five minutes, before opposite number Toby Flood responded in kind.
Alesana Tuilagi and Tom Wood were each shown a red card within minutes of the restart for a fight after Wood appeared to pull the Tigers wing's hair.
Matt Smith and Steve Mafi added a couple of tries before the break, with Flood converting the latter's to take a brief 12-point lead. However, Lamb pulled three back to reduce the deficit at the break.
Flood went like-for-like with Lamb following the half, responding with three points of his own once again.
Chris Ashton and Leicester's Ben Youngs traded tries before substitute Stephen Myler converted two late Saints scores by Tom May and Phil Dowson to take a two-point lead.
However, Horacio Agulla's late score – converted by Flood – pushed the Tigers back ahead to seal the win.
