Edinburgh progressed to the quarter finals of the Heineken Cup as Pool 2 winners after beating London Irish 34-11 at Murrayfield this afternoon.
The hosts took control of the game early on when Tim Visser crossed for their first try of the afternoon 11 minutes in.
Greig Laidlaw added the conversion before two successful penalty attempts gave them a 13-6 lead.
The Scottish side's advantage was even more handsome before the break after Jim Thompson recorded a second try.
Irish had brief hopes of a comeback when Jonathan Joseph crossed the line to reduce the deficit to 20-11 but Edinburgh replied quickly through Netani Talei.
Winger Lee Jones then completed the scoring with a try three minutes from time as the Gunners claimed a comfortable victory on their way to the last eight.
